Default Bloody cars!

I love cars, there convinenent and get me home and to the base/work with no hassel. But when they go wrong, boy do they...

This morning was simple, get in to the polo, take it to the garage for a pre MOT, so at the end of the month i could sell it or scrap it and put the dosh towards the T2.

Firstly there was a Parking ticket on the polo for parking on a 6 m wide pavement, issued at 0722 on a saturday morning. nice.

Then i drove to the garage, dropped it in, ot a phone call from my girlfriend saying the audi has just cut out and keeps doing so above 1500 revs.
Recovery came out and it started, then this afternoon it did it again so we got towed to the garage and left it with them, the polo needs:

2 x front bearings
poss rear bearings
exaust re-welding
few bulbs
front lowere arm

which means when the MOT expires in june 16th, Its straight down the scrappies!

Roll on the T2, no more polo.

The bloody polo!

Just a tad of rain and its dead! so i had to trudge in to town wet as an otter pocket, i just hope the T2 is ready this friday, otherwise i wil have to work some vodoo magic to get the polo to pompy and back before its of fto the scrappies on the 16th (minus the wheels)

Any body need bits off a m reg polo?

roll on the t2!

Yep only against brand new ones, although my local scrappe, reckons you could get a new car for less just by walking, as they offset the price when scrapping.

Well fingers crossed for the t2, only snag may be as it was registered disabled, he has to change the v5 for tax in person as it can take up to 2 weeks to sort it, bloody car tax!

so will have to wait and see!

hi its a m reg 1995/6, 1.6 cl, e front windows, (near side jamms half way, door dent)

pro's:
new wind screen
new clutch plate (last jan)
re con gear box (feb)
new front tyres (feb)
wolf race go faster alloys.
pound land magic matt! even kept my pork pye on there!
roof bars
free cd (because it wont come out!)

cons:
as per the top post
2 x front bearings
poss rear bearings
exaust re-welding
few bulbs
front lower arm
plus the cd player wont give me my cd back!
and this morning the earth came back and zapped the battery!

So if your intersted on taking it on let me know, the tax in end of june, MOT 16th of june, all the cons are from a pre MOT the garage did, i might have to use it next week to go from devon to pompy for a course (risk assessors) how apt in the death mobile, its ok, just blowy due to the exhaust, and bearings make it rattle.

I'm not going to mug you off, she paid £600 for it last year and now i'm about to take it down the scrappies take some odds off it and the wheels=

£40 for its weight in scrap
£ what ever get for the alloys

I really recomend you come and have a look before you make a decision if you have the skills and parts it could be back on the road.

but as i say its off to the scrap yard soon, but if you think its worth it let me know.

no really . im poor.

the mav as good as it looks actually owes me in money somewhere near the 1200 quid mark now

the truck, the wheels, the winches........ the lot

lots of begging and making things that i dont have

and selling bits i dont need anymore

im tempted but and at 100.00 id say yes now cos of the cost of collection etc

but lets see if there is any room for negotiations i dont need it till you want rid of it

or i can do a deal with some t2 wheels with 31 10.5 15 tyres
