Default Key Fob/Plipper

I have two separate two button (red & black) type fobs that I purchased of eBay. They both worked fine on the old Terrano, but don't want to on the new Terrano.
Both trucks are the same year, but the latest one is an SE with ingnition key & two buttons all in one (this is fubar ). Does this mean they have different frequencies & aren't compatible?
Where is the instructions to program them that I remember following some years ago?
Sick of using the key & sticking the key in the ignition to switch off the alarm.

As you suspected two separate types that aren稚 compatible.

What痴 up with your existing key plips on the new truck?

Forgot to say, the instructions for programming are in the download section mate in quick links.

Thank you both for your replies.
Jim. The key has no internals at all. Came that way & the rubber micro button cover has worn through.
So I guess both plips won't work on the new truck.
I guess they'll fund a replacement two button key instead.
How do I find what frequency I need?

The frequency is on the immobiliser unit under the steering wheel I think.

Pete if your truck is still drivable which I suspect it is. If you want to meet up at some point as I知 off work at the moment then I can bring a spare key I have to try and programme up to yours. If it works we can come to an arrangement I知 sure pal.

Sometime this weekend would be good if you're available.
