Regarding the test standards, I find it impossible to believe that the powers that be are that stupid or naive, it is obvious that if a test remains the same for so long people will find ways to cheat, and as the article says its not a real world test, in other words not a very hard test. I wreaks of corruption money making to me. I wonder how much pollution would be stopped if the manufacturing of new vehicles was halved and more emphasis put on keeping the already existing cars on the road and in goid condition.

Corgi was born out of a womans stupidity, not an engineers error, and as you well know Corgi and the current gas safe do little to improve safety, it is much more down to manufacturing improvements, and the gas safe test is just as much a farce as the emissions testing of motors, we are all being shafted, Rick

It's all about creating ways for those at the top to make money. I don't know the story behind corgi though.

Woman in a tower block in London (forget the name) turned her oven on then went to another room to get a light, by the time she got back, boom, side of tower block blown out, it was not a gas leak as was initially thought but it was enough for some bright spark to see money could be made here, Rick
