Default Other forums suck

Just like to say how glad I am to be a member on here
I've recently been doing up a VW Passat for our impending drive to froggie land for some ski action.
Now on here a question is posted and within minutes a blow by blow answer with pics, links and explanation arrives , clear and simple.
On this other forum I've had to play 20 questions everytime I make an enquiery
So tedious and not at all big or clever.
Cheers me dears
PS the search function is still shite here though

I have been reading a Toyota forum, and they are the same on there, it takes 30 posts just to find out something fairly simple, and 28 are just asking why you need to know this info, as the main stealer should be able to do that for you!!!

Totally agree about other forums, often there's too many people being clever and being up their own anal glands

Disagree, our search facility is the best. Have you not tried the uncle rustic search, he's awesome at finding things

Hope you're ok Rustic

There's nothing wrong with the search function on here.

You just put it in as a normal question in the box and up pops multiple answers, usually comprehensive.

By the way, why is there the word "Search" in the title bar area? I clicked on it once and typed in something and got some random stuff?

We are very lucky on this forum though. The N Gauge Forum can be pretty anal as well, you have to spend a lot of time to sort the wheat from the chaff.

Wink Other Forums

I too have found that posted questions on the likes of BMW, Mercedes, Hyundai and Jeep forums to name but a few often never get any answer or if its a USA one then you get Red Neck daft replies !

Maybe the subscription helps as we want to give everyone their moneys worth !

We are definitely greater than the Sum of our Parts to quote an old saying.

The vw t4/t5 forum wasn't too bad.

I've just joined mig-welding.co.uk forum, I'm glad I did, no question is too daft (luckily ) and everyone is proper friendly. We got onto subject of how to hold and support the mig gun after I asked a question, one guy the next day while he was in his shed/man cave took a load of very high quality pictures of him demonstrating holding the gun for different welds etc and posted them up for me with a few explanations of what he was doing!!!!
