Thumbs up New Battery / New Tyre Syndrome / Brain Reward Centre

Well the battery I recently fitted in the Beamer is not holding it's charge I suspect it's old age as it's at least 6/7 years old but as it had only done 17k miles I thought it would be OK ((Probably why I replaced it in the old 300CRD in the first place!).

It's been in my garage as a slave for getting folks jump started but clearly not much good when fitted to a vehicle as opposed to being on the bench on trickle charge waiting for use.

The good news is a Type 019 fits OK and being pretty huge specification should okay for a little used motor. Could not justify a AGM battery as its double the cost.I have ordered a new one on e-bay via the Battery Megastore a Hankook. Strangely enough it's cheaper via e-bay as carriage is included.

I don't know if it like Women and new shoes or blokes with new tyres but am quite excited at the prospect of it's arrival on Tuesday ! Perhaps I am turning a bit sad in my dotage.lol
