Default Word of warning regarding Millner Off Road

Last week I ordered some parts from Millner Off Road and I was sent an email with a tracking number on Tuesday. When tracking the parts it came up as being 'delivered' about two hours earlier. Even though I had been home the whole day I was sure that nobody had been at the house. After having a look at all the usual places no parts were found.

A phonecall to Millner was placed and I was phoned back a little while later as they had to check with the courier. The courier indicated that they had left the parts at a safe place as indicated on the order. Taking into account that one of these parts was part of the exhaust, it is rather difficult to miss.

The courier had sent a photo of the safe place to Millner and this was forwarded to me. When viewing the photo it became immediatly clear where my parts were. They were at my old address and about a 2.5 hour drive away.

Thinking that I had made a mistake when ordering the parts I checked the order and it did have the correct address on it.

It appears that Millner made a mistake and sent the parts to my old address. Once this was confirmed they immediatly sent a new set of parts to the correct address, which arrived the next day and were fitted within 30 minutes.

Just as a warning to everybody. If Millner Off Road have an old address on file that you no longer use it might be worthwhile having this removed from your account to avoid similar mistakes.

If you have an account it gives you the choice of address to be used.
Choose exsiting or add a new one.
Never really had any issues with milners but I know others have.

That is indeed correct Elty001.

However if though I selected the correct address Millner sent it to my previous address.
This was the first time this happened to me and I just like to give fellow members a heads-up. My old address will never be used again so it might as well be removed. At least this avoids the same happening again.

At least they accepted it was their fault and got the parts to you.
I only live about 20 mins drive from them so if I do use them I nip over and collect my stuff.

Unhappy Same with flea bay and mobile numbers !

I changed my mobile from my work one to my own when I went onto a casual contract at work and made sure I changed the number on banking, e bay etc, etc.

Guess what my mate at work who has my old phone gets text about my Flea Bay deliveries etc. Luckily he forwards the texts or rings me.

I went onto Flea Bay and it showed my new number as did Paypal. Eventually phoned them up what a long winded farce that was.It took three phone calls a few months apart to get the address label changed ! Transpired that the Flea Bay address label that they load onto the system had not had the number changed as they are not automatically linked for updates and have to be done manually unless it's a new account.

I guess whoever wrote the original Flea Bay Web Page Programme did not link all the various pages to show any updates.

Glad they sorted it.

They send me fan belts that did not fit. Would only refund for the belts and not the 4-5 pounds I spent on delivery. So to no fault of my own I am down around a fiver, Will never use them again if I can help it.
