Hey Duck, got to ask, why do you drive a Left Hander???
I'm in the process of selling my house and will be looking to move to Czech Republic (time scale unknown) so will be after a LHD when we do...Are the specs different to UK cars?? |

Hi boggert,
The only reason we have a LHD is because we used to live in Spain (wot a mistake) the only problem is at junctions and roundabouts cos you have to look thru the whole car, but when we go back onto the continent it comes into it's own again. I have not had any problems getting spare parts, not even the replacement engine  that supposed to have only about 72,000 miles on it  hope fully the gearbox is OK, then we are off to Switzerland for X-mas. As for specs I had to buy new headlamps DVLA would not allow converter beams and also a new offside rear light to put rear fog light on the right side for the UK and as I had owned the car for more than 6 months I did NOT have to pay import duty  JUST road TAX they don't pay much in Spain, about 45euros and that includes you ITV ( independent technoligca of vehicles) UK equilivent is the MOT Aren't we well and truly ripped off over here, but better not go down that line again   |

You aint kidding, we pay so much for fuel, Tax and spare parts... I have just sold all my cars and replaced the 3 with my Terrano II, it covers everything the old ones did, and has a grin factor of 10!
I'm then going to get a moped to zip to work on, I figue I'm saving about £2000 a year in tax, MOT and Insurance, not to mention, running costs and fuel... It is truly rip off Britain.. |
