Strange black things ??
Over the last couple of weeks some strange black spots / eggs / things have appeared on our conservatory floor.
My first thought was it is fly / insect droppings but they are loose on the tiled floor and can easily be hoovered up. The first batch a couple of weeks ago numbered about 100 plus and I thought they might have fallen off our Rubber Plant or Tomato plant but they are some distance from both and now another batch have appeared easily another 100 plus. The ceiling above is white with no cob webs or similar anyone know what they are ? I have picked some up with tape for the photo the other debris is sand ! |

Not mouse poo!
Mouse poo looks like small grains of black rice, and as mice are incontinent they are not usually in clusters but spread about. Are they soft or hard? Do they have a hard crust and soft inside? |

They are dead seeds from a bush, I get those on the garden floor, they seem to float on the wind and blow in the house too

When it happens, are they always in the same place? Does it occur with strong south westerly winds etc? To test the theory.. Plant a few in some damp compost. If it grows leaves, then they are seeds. If it turns into a mouse, then it could be mice lol...
