72 hours to go !
As I mentioned in another thread my Mrs has been away in the UK for the last four months, while I have been home alone with the cats and dogs.
I'm not a slob and have been keeping on top of things, hoovering ,washing up, cleaning, gardening ,etc But I still have a list as long as your arm of thing to get done before she gets back. This coming weekend will be frantic, and then Monday is the last day I have to get it done before she gets home Tuesday morning and I want it to be perfect. However I know that however hard I try, there will be somthing thats not quite as it should be when she gets back. So I thought it would be a bit of fun for all of you to predict what I may have mised and help me dodge that curved ball. Also to guess how many "FAILS" I will get in the first 12 hours of her return! What constitutes a" FAIL" : something that has not bean maintained "properly" something that should have been done ,that hasn't something that has been done, that shouldn't something that is not where it should be and needs putting back something that has been kept and should have been thrown away something that has been thrown away that should have been kept Any sentence that contains the words "I thought you would have ............ while I was gone" Any sentence that begin "Look at the state of" and any utterance of the words "What did you buy that for" You have until 9am next Tuesday the 31st to make you predictions and we will find out who is the closest on Tuesday evening after 9 pm Any tips or Words of encouragement greatly appreciated , John |

It has to be a bouquet of flowers, but take any reference to price off them
Especially the buy one get one free... Make sure they are her favourite colours. Make the bed, and smooth out the top cover, remove all dirty socks. Clean the toilet seat and under the rim, and get rid of that lime scale in the loo, because you thought you could save water by only flushing one a day... New loo roll, clean towels, and clean the floor around the entrance door, be prepared to wipe the door down, and especially the step. Lots to do... Oh... bottle of wine and two glasses next to the flowers...

Stop worrying, she will expect the place to be a tip with loads of washing pilled up and other jobs jobs not done, but sounds like you have kept on top, so the icing on the cake is a candle on the table, a bottle of her wine, a bunch flowers and if you cannot, or have not time to cook a take away, Maggies advice, Rick

I came home once to find a candle on the table, my first comment was...
Have we had a powercut? That instantly terminated a possible romantic evening.

A I have missed you card ?
IF your Missus is into flowers then make sure they are the right colour plus I nice sloppy miss you card.
A small thoughtful gift - something you can't see the point of yorself. e.g. Scented Candle, emroidered cushion, tec Make sure your callender shows the countdown days for her return, nice romantic table for two with a bottle of Fiz in the fridge. Job done |
