Check out reports on the renault 1.5 dci such as the Scenic, theres a renault forum. Theres also a qashqui forum too.

I had a scenis 1.5dci and engine was fine for me most of the time and returned very good mpg. I've heard horror stories about that engine tho but you do with any car.
I looked at qashqui last year and found inside to be small and because theyre so popular prices seemed inflated too. Looked at Roomsters but the looks put me off and ended up with my 05 plate terrano.

My sister purchased a new Kia Roomster last year, to replace her midden of a Rav4, I have ridden in it once, to find it a very hard and uncharitable ride.....

What have the Roomsters been like for your sis and dad?

Have they been pretty reliable?

Our daily driver is a 2010 Seat Leon 1.9 TDI. Very good mpg (twice as good as my T2), plenty fast enough, and a nice engaging sporty ride.
Plenty of place as well for 2 adults, 2 labradors, and assorted travel gear.
