You cant keep a good Nissan down...
...even if it does come with a Ford badge on it:
me and my mate, damo, went to our 4x4 clubs offroad day yesterday. after watching the action for most of the day, we were tempted to have a play. after mucking about on the slopes for a while we turned our attention to the water. now i knew in was deep in places (10foot+) because id almost 'lost' my vitara last year, however there was a shallow path across the middle. damo powered through the water, but some how managed to go into a deep spot, throwing with maverick windscreen deep into the water and out the otherside before the engine died... before he went in the deep bit after he came out of the otherside i quickly went to his aid as the car was filling with water. i attached my strop and gave him 3 good tugs before he was freed. his engine wouldnt turn over so we assumed the worse. i pulled him back to the carpark area where we spent the next 20 mins taking his intercooler off, removing the glowplugs, turning it over to un-hydrolock the engine and put it back together. the engine fired up first time! it did hunt for revs for a bit but i put that down to the exhaust being full of water. we drove home ok, damo commented that it has never ran so good (i put that down to a clean engine and exhaust lol). he just needs to dry his carpets now... btw, heres the rest of the days pictures if anyones interested |

It would also be a good idea the check the diffs (mainly rear) and possibly the gearbox's for water contamination..
