Key
Hi, I picked up the Maverick yesterday and so far I'm really pleased. I've done a bit of off-roading to check the 4wd all works as it should and no surprises. My only worry is she has only come with 1 key, does anyone know the best place to get a spare with the transponder in for the immobiliser? Thanks in advance

Somewhere like Timpsons should be able to sort you out bud, won't be cheap though due to the transponder

I got quoted £75 for a transponder key from timsons
Have had a new one cut for £3.50 on local market. Won't start the car but at least I would be able to get in to it. |

be very careful, use this key to try and start 3 times in a row no matter how short and your transponder key will be blocked, Rick

My transponder key is quite worn so do really need to get a new one just incase. My fob is goosed aswell so having to use the key to lock/unlock the truck and I've got visions of it snapping one day. Can the transponder be removed from the old key without damaging it.just looks like it's glued in. |

check with a nissan dealer as I am sure a transponder key is a lot less, Rick
