Another question then I'll go to bed
The last few day I've noticed that I got a horrible vibration/rumble noise coming from under the terrano but this only happened when I hit 60mph and then stops at 70 mph. First thing I did was slacken the handbrake cable but it's not that and also I've got a little wheel wobble coming through the steering wheel but that's been there for weeks. Any ideas as I'm think in tyres as my fronts and ready for the bin as my front steering rod is shot and has caused both front tyres to wear on the outside edge.

as Rick has said, the tyres out of balance, and loose steering rods are not good, and will have put extra wear and strain on the other front suspension components like the CV joints. Your steering idler and even the steering box will also be taking a hammering.
The other thing to check, is your prop shafts, not so related to the balance issue, but work UJ's on the prop shafts make a nasty vibration. |
