Veg oil
Hi all' I'm running the terrano on veg with 10% petrol. Normally I chuck the veg in then pop into the garage for the unleaded but in the last few weeks I've managed to block two fuel filters and had to replace them so my question to you is would I be better off mixing the petrol in with the veg before I put it in ???? How do you boys do yours. . Thanks again

Dinodiesel, it's just whats it's known as in the trade to veg users.
It's a bit of a joke in that Diesel is made from hundreds of thousands of years old algae that has been compressed and among all of that there must be the remains of Dinosaurs I think it was just used for alliteration purposes really buy hey ho there you go

No filter block yet either. You must have some muck in the tank? |

i mix mine in a 30 litre barrel petrol in first then bung the veg in and give it a shake and leave for a few days giving it a shake each day if i remeber then it goes in the tank
your pump can take upto 20% petrol/veg mix no problems |

And also the seals are meant to be lubricated too no? (I am more curious than anything else) but everyone has been steering me against using petrol. for the sake of a few pence per litre I'm using diesel with the veg (if i need to - running neat atm) |

20% petrol is fine/better in my experience
You'll never ever dry out the pump at that ratio lol |

Depends where you live. I use quality foods. Lots of people use bookers or cashco places like that. Once you are a full member the forum is a much easier place to navigate around and search for topics ect

The cheapest place to get Veg oil is probably a wholesaler. I get 20ltr of KTC oil for £15.49 at Makro.
You can mix any ratio you like with dino diesel to help reduce the viscosity, if you intend to blend it with petrol the amount can vary between 5-20%, so worth experimenting. The petrol again reduces the viscosity of the oil and makes it easier to start. Adding a cetane booster to your oil is recommended by the guys at vegetableoildiesel you could try 2-ehn cetane booster from Trinity. A little of that goes a long way. |
