3 Points!!!!!
Well looks like I've managed to pick up 3 points at a set of traffic lights.
Was waiting at a set of lights to turn right, in the middle of the junction. A bout 6 or so cars coming in other direction and then a bus a little hesitant and at that point I was aware lights changing with me stuck in middle of junction. Anyway once bus had stopped I set off to turn right as you do and flash flash from the camera. Also a car came flying down nearside of me and he got same treatment. Though I know I was sat there at green waiting for road to clear to let me turn right I know full well a photo will just show me jumping the lights. I'm well fecked off |

You might be ok, if they send a letter out just explain it to them they might understand because if you hadn't of moved you would have blocked the road up

First thing Mrs said was we'll contest it but I don't have as much confidence. Thing is I'd been sat there a minute or so waiting for the over carriageway to clear so I know that I wasn't jumping the lights which is the thing that gets to me the most.

I doubt you will hear a thing, the camera works on a car crossing the sensor strip which is a the solid stop line, and as you were already passed that, you could not have set it off.. The reason it takes 2 pictures is to see how fast he was going, by how far he travelled between the two pictures, so unless you went for a 0-60 in 2 seconds, you should be fine, as they allow for cars turning right.

the other car set off the camera if you were forward of the stop line and stationary then you cant set it off.

Let me get this right, had you actually already crossed the line? (On a green light) Or did light go red then you crossed the line? If you were already in the center/box junction your fine as you are allowed to sit in a box junction if turning right (with a clear exit)
If you have already crossed your line you are allowed to finish your manouvere, thus the amber on traffic lights means, Proceed if clear to do so (i e if you've moved out of the area) If you moved over your line once light was already red that could be interesting though |

The two camera flashes will clearly show that you were stationary at the time. I hope the other car that caused it to flash shows his speed via the distance travelled between the two flashes. If on the off chance you get a ticket, unlikely, then ask for the photograph that shows the other vehicle. Keep a note of the time and date, and if you can remember any minor detail of the other vehicle, make a note now. If you happen to be in the AA or similar, they have a legal department. To me, you have met all the requirements to legally continue your journey. Rustic
