Firstly mate, welcome to the forum

I myself posted a problem in here when I first had my Maverick and didn't get much response, you're better off paying your £10 for the year and you'll be amazed how much help you'll get, I've been on 10's of forums and nowhere is as friendly as this. Plus we have an "older" generation of users here so no slanging matches and arguments just years of experience and a wealth of knowledge, I'm probably the youngest here at 22 however I'm the man you want to keep happy if you want trade discount from here but you have to be a premium member first and pay your £10 ;
http://www.milneroffroad.com/

As for your lights, it's called a MIL light, there should be a sequence of flashes, long and short, the short count as single digits and the long as 10's which represent breaks in between codes, these are all stored on the car and can actually be read by pulling a white cable down from behind the fusebox and using a metal paperclip which will cause the stored codes to display on the dashboard

There is a detailed downloadable "workshop manual" that one of the members created on this subject in the Downloads section but again mate you'll need to be a paying member

Thats all I can give you for free

sounds like your immobiliser has locked you out, it is NATS 2 so only way is dealer or a good auto locksmith, about £60 will do it, I suspect of your two keys one is duff/not programmed, if so and you tried to start, three try's and NATS thinks you are a thief and blocks all possibility of a start, so make sure you get both keys checked, Rick

Does anyone know if these codes apply to a 3.0 terrano?

Default EML flashing

hi I have a mistral on a 1996 "n" reg -(square headlight) I don't have a key fob for my vehicle just ordinary keys. I do have an alarm - although the only time it goes off is if you disconnect and then reconnect the battery.

I think mine could be just the basic NATS 1

Any not much help to you sorry

good luck with your truck - stick with it I love my motor and it has been a really good workhorse and family car
