head unit replacement.
I want to bin the original head unit and multi changer.
1, It does my head in messing about under the seat to put cds in. 2, All my music is in mp3 format so I want an auxillary input. 3, Ive already go my stereo from my old motor so it wont cost nowt. The price of the surrounds on ebay are 114 quid So I want to make one. Ive figured out which wire is the hazard light block (pictured) can I put a flick switch straight to this? And has anyone done it? Im not sure about which way around these wires may go to a switch.I better get some fuses in I think. Im also going to fit a few more switches in the new panel ready for my light rail and rear work light. cheers steve |

connecting the green with red tracer to ground will activate the hazard warning.

I've done it, my hazard warning switch was faulty and the hazards used to come on randomly!
I got this from here somewhere, can't remember which thread it was. "As in my previous post, if its the same as mine you just need to put a normally open switch between the green/red and the black wire on the small plug, you could even use scotch locks if you dont want to cut the original wiring. " Only downside is my hazards don't work with the caravan plugged in. Mick |
