Air on
Took Terrano in this morning to have the AC gassed up and they said it would not gas up. They could fix it but it would probably be a days work.
Any ideas.? I had a Hyundi with a similar problem.-- Sold it!!!! |

Go somewhere else. Get another quote, or look for the leak yourself?

Back again to have one of their "specialists" look at it. He decided the condenser was leaking and quoted me £600 to replace it! Thanks but no thanks I said, I'll do without aircon. A couple of weeks later I decided to let a company called, rather cheesily, Aircon John - they had done a regas on a Mondeo for me 7 or 8 years ago. They confirmed that the condenser was leaking and quoted £330 so I had the job done. I then went back to blue and yellow highwaymen to ask them why their quote was so high. "Ah well" the guy said, "We would have quoted for an original Honda condenser!" Why? The aftermarket one I now have keeps the car icy cold for almost half the price! |

Get it pressure tested might be able to see where it is leaking from also next time ask for a dye agent to be put in and then when or IF it leaks you should be able to see where it is coming from..... |
