myFIat JTD
chaps, quick question. I have a Fiat JTD, and im getting black smoke, not so smooth acceleration feels lacking in power. Turbo seems fine, MAf is new, MAP sensor changed, do you reckon its the EGR, and I need to blank it off?!

A lot of these are chipped. Is yours? If it is it could be this acting up.

its not chipped, but although lots of fancy electronics its not much more complex than our setup. I have bought a blanking plate for the EGR now, so fingers crossed thats the issue. the symptoms do seem classic egr to be fair. Air filter looks new ish, MAF is new, new MAP, new oil+filter, drives well, not down to 20mph on hills yet but do get a nice plume of black smoke upon hard acceleration..!
