I had my renewal from NFU yesterday, a 43% increase on last years premium

As all our cars and house insurance is with them, I will be calling into the local office on Monday to see how much they want to keep my business

I'll have that please

It's a shame about NFU as they are pretty good to deal with.

Jim

BTW It's my fault that my wife reversed her car into the back of the Terrano today

Insurance is much more on a Mistral. They instantly add around £200 to the price as it is an "imported" car, and so parts cost more! You can tell them the parts are the same price as the non imported ones...to no avail. My old insurance company insured me for my saab 900 2.0 - me and wife fully comp £187 - but when I changed to the Mistral they wanted over £800 -tossers.
After much searching online and ringing around I got one at £400 fully comp with Mayfaire.
When I was searching around I asked the cost of third party (as then the cost of parts for my imported truck do not come in to it) believe it or not, some companies charge MORE for third party than for fully comp!!! So they want to charge us more for less cover!! When asked why the reps have no answer.

Hey All,

Havent been about for a while but thought i'd add my bit

Just insured my patrol 1990 for the 1st time, called round 12 companies and found Performance direct the best by far!

£305, Import, fully comp and all mods!!! (turbo, suspension and body lift, snorkel, wheels etc......)

Oh...and if you call Adrian flux, they only insure on the driveway for up to 4k, if you say its worth over that and then back track while on the phone they refuse cover!! Ha! crazy.
