80ish why ?
80ish i think gets you there 10 minutes earlier than 60ish which is best speed for fuel consumption lots of info on here have you tried a search i just dont bother booting the terra i dont see the point at best on a run expect 30 mph try and keep your revs to 2500 and no higher threw the gears some one with more experience of these cars will be along soon

Originally my SWB tdi was doing 360-380miles/tank in mixed use solo and towing 10% of the time. Less in the winter due to the slower warm up and the viscous fan.
With the tuning box added and NO fan it rose to about 400 / tank. Since then I am getting 400-420 per tank in its now-current tune . You do the math. |

I know theres lots of debate regarding remap vs tuning box but at the end of the day a tuning box is mega cheaper, makes the engine livelier and returns better mpg.
On the mileage youre doing I would have thought youd soon break even on one off flea bay |

Yes, but it is a very fudged way of doing it. Undoubtably does improve MPG though, but only if you drive as you always did, and dont make use of the extra urge. Simply because you can get up the gears sooner and hold top alot longer.
Either really wakes up the 2.7 though. Happy in 5th at 1500rpm with real grunt from 1800. Only the remap solves the breathlessness after 3500 though. |
