Default i.p. address

im with btinternet and have the wireless homehub. can anybody tell me if the i.p. address changes everytime i turn on the p.c./home hub or isit always the same

The ip between router and ISP will change each time you boot the router usually but not always- most ISP's use dynamic allocation. Some ISPs renew the ip every few days also, or the router can be told to.

The IP that the router allocates the PC when it appears on the network depends on the settings of the router when you are using DHCP, but there is nothing to stop you specifying a fixed ip, or within a certain range.

i want to join a forum i have been on before but want to slip in in the shadows so nowbody knows its me.. but i need to know when they look at the user in the admin controls will they see 2 or more user names for my i.p.address.. i know it shows as i once had a gaming server and webpage

if you change your IP and make a new username make sure you don't use your proper username with that ip, As alot of forums have a search to see if any users have posted from the same IP.

ive done nothing but tell it like it is and people dont always like to here the truth... there was a click and one tried bulling me and i give as good as i got..
