done more work on my storage today as well as yesterday and got it 80% complete, just need to carpet it all and wire up the light i fitted underneath so illuminate the storage ares and then its finished, as you can see i borrowed some caravan pillows to test it, will get a custom pillow/matress made.......or a water bad

If you must screw into it , don't screw into the "end grain". Instead, predrill and screw into the flat sides and use piano hinge to spread the load

Lol, this bed/storage is only in the vehicle when needed, its nor perminant, can slide in and out, and that's paint on the LH bearer, used to be a fence, will all be sanded down and carpeted
