Theyre screwing money from us left right and centre.

Mine went up nearly £200 on renewal because id been involved in a NO FAULT collision. The other party admitted full liability even to the extent i didnt even have to pay my excess up front then claim it back.My ins company also reclaimed all their costs. No impact on no claims etc etc

When I asked the ****ers at Bell what was going on they cheerfully told me that in their experience most people involved in a no fault are involved in a fault collision within a year

I asked them where they got their stats from and also if they reflected the fact that the majority of customers would cease to be customers due to the feeling they were being ripped off............funnily enough no response :D

Problem with insurance its the one thing needed to be legal that aint run by a government dept so its "sharks alley" for all. The problem with insurance declarations is that even as like daved youve had a accident that aint your fault you would be in the wrong if you didnt declare it on your next renewal application, that you were "involved" in an accident How can this be right???? it all a con, it will get to the point where its cheaper to ride around with no insurance Ive been stuck on paying around 250 squid for the last 5 yrs, ncb increases year on year but ins premium stays static at 250, again to quote littlejohn "you couldnt make it up if you tried"

Good luck with that - there is no such thing anymore!

You can get "bespoke" business policies however (traders policy, but they look into every single little detail)
My traders policy is with Co-operative underwritten by Aviva and I have my own underwriter called "Scott"! He made the policy for me so it is all legit and smart arse copper cant do me for driving an "un-tagged" vehicle...
But the cost - £2500.00 a year

Long gone are the days of "drive any car" policies, there is no longer such a thing. And if your sold one... be carefull as what is written on the document can sometimes land you in hot water with the plod when driving an un-tagged car!

im already on a traders policy, my mate took one out earlier in the year and im named on there, full comp, any motor "VEHICLE" vehicle being used instead of motor "CAR" for which i believe has caught several people out who drive other peoples cars on there own insurance, i wouldn't take a chance with insurance to be honest, and i have even taxed a car with it, when the cashier in the post office scanned the certificate she said all was ok, evidently it will throw up a flag if it's not correct, this what she told me so i'll go along with it for now, but thanks for your advice,:thumb2

Its in the wording of the document Tezzer,

they usually say something along the lines of "any vehicle in the custody of, owned by or in control of the policy holder"

That is where the problem lies with smart arse copper, I was pulled on motorway as the car I was driving was not tagged to data base. I got out with my certificate and stated "traders policy" the copper explained things are not so straight forward nowadays please take a seat in the back of my car.
He then proceeded to read the certificate very carefully (I was on someone elses trader's policy like you, as a named driver)
He then asked -

is the vehicle in the custody of the policy holder at this time - NO

is the vehicle owned by the policy holder - NO, registered to a customer

is it in the control of the policy holder - NO not at this time as he aint in the car

MY ASS BEGAN TO TWITCH AT THAT POINT

He explained that although I was listed on the certificate as a named driver, it did not give me the entitlement to drive any vehicle, only the policy holder. As he was not in the car at the time and it was not registered as belonging to him technically I was not covered to drive it. He explained that MOST traders policies are written that way and do not actually give you the cover you think they do as it is all about how it is written on the certificate.
He kindly let me go without taking my car and told me to clean up my act a bit and make sure I only drive cars registered to the policy holder unless he was present in the vehicle.
We binned the policy and I had my current one written for us... :o

But even on my bespoke policy, I have to register any vehicle I want to tag to the data base to the company. Any other car that is not registered to the company I can have in my posession without registering and tagging it for a maximum of 14 days.

You know my thoughts on how the skanky b******s have us all by the goolies but at the end of the day they all swap info " to prevent fraud" they have extremely effective investigators working for them and show one cock up and theyll have you.
