Serious undertone to it though, Lossie & Kinloss probably going , Tornados off to Marham.
Tactically and strategically Cameron really need to give his head a shake next time he thinks about announcing we're top league military power :mad::mad:

The caravan club suggest that you never exceed 85% of the tow vehicle weight, so what are you going to tow it with?
If you use the Maverick you may wish to change the 50mm ball to a pin and eye type coupling.
Don't forget the tail board.

They tow em on the pan with big f off tractors. Max speed probably 5mph (not sure) so it may take you a while to get home , but hey, if you want it, go for it :thumb2

I need to transfer some money from by current account to my Paypal account and that could take too long, so I'll wait till the awacs are to be sold.
The Nimrod was based on the original comet, in fact it was called the pregnant comet. I was lucky enough to fly several sorties in one in the mid 70's They had 4 huge engines and in normal flight they shut down 2 engines.
Happy days

Nothing as glamorous as that, I was a student and industrial training was for 6 months as an observer/navigator.
Great fun. My first ever flight was in a comet.

never been up in a nim but i did have a go on a nim simulator in the early 80s (at RAF Locking...fantastic place :thumb2 ). I was the only one who managed to "land" it :D but my "flying" was crap :nenausuppose at least i got back to earth :lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol
Must have been goo having a jolly in one of them, did you do many full sorties ?

Had about 5 sorties between Comets and Nimrods, we were testing equipment, the longest was 8 hours in a Nim, banking at 45 degrees, diving, climbing etc no windows to look out of, I was sick as a parrot, but I was young then, soon got over it.
One of my colleagues went into the helicopter section, but the cost of the helmet, made to fit was extortionate, and only for a student for a few months. The MOD had money then. :nenau
