when filling up tonight i noticed the pump said ... may contain up to 7% biofuel/diesel. is this normal? i didnt realise diesel was mixed. this perticular supermarket stoped selling biodiesel on all its forecourts as the mix wasnt correct and caused damage.. acording to a bird on the tills they were getting repair bills

All diesel now has a bio content - theres an EU or Government inititative, target or something on it - will slowly ramp up.

Rather makes a mockery of those manufacturers who claim their cars won't run on any bio diesel in the UK whilst there German counterparts happily recommend B100 - for the same cars

Does this mean we are going to have a run on Injector Pumps I wonder?

See other threads - theres loads of them - but mines one of the later Bosch EDC15 ECU ones with the lift needle sensor on injector no 1 and mine runs fine on anything, Bio, SVO etc the earlier ones are even more tolerant to it.

If you read through this it should become a little clearer. The B20 or B30 will probably phased into service stations eventually so we may get better choice and maybe a lower price/litre. David.

by then bio will be up in price and we will be no better off. i recon they want us to do less miles but give the goverment at least as much money as we currently are..
