Hi all
just bought a old suzuki lt50 quad for my son its a bit tatty so thinking about painting the plastic trims. other than slapping a bit of emulsion on the walls know nothing about painting so my question is does any body know if you can paint the plastic and how?:nenau

yep, you can.
need an etching primer so it bonds well with the plastic.

I did that for my son years ago, he loved it, I got some custom vinyl graphics cut (ebay) with his name in suzuki style lettering! Out of interest, i found the suzuki bike dealer better for parts than the aftermarket prices or the internet!

cheers for that chaps :thumb2going to strip it down this weekend and tidy it up me and the boy have just finished building a trailer for it to go on save putting in the back of the truck,lads only four but loves playing with my spanners every thing takes twice as long as when you put something down he nicks it:doh

you can buy a plasticiser to put in the paint to allow the paint to flex, otherwise it may peel off, etch primer is for aluminium and some other types of metal, try halfords they make up aerosol cans and may be able to help. :thumb2

I am in the process of spraying some parts for the mondeo , I bought some plastic etch primer from ebay , wear gloves and a mask , its evil. :nenau
