Smashed windscreen

Had a run of bad luck, got a smashed windscreen now :cry:

Never mind, insurance will pay out, except i have to pay the excess... :cry:

Thats the funny thing,...??

A while back a stone hit the OS bottom corner and put a tiny chip, nothing to note, then out in the cold the other night.... Bang, it splits across the bottom, I think the frost got to it :roll:

Luckily its not like the old windows, so all was fine, but did make me jump, I thought what was that??

New one being fitted on Friday.

Ditto. Mine cracked across the bottom--more or less where the screen defrost outlets are.It was perishing cold day and I warmed the engine up then put the blower on full to clear the screen. Ice on the INSIDE !
A friend who knows about glass says it looks like a thermal stress fracture.That figures I suppose.
It's not in my line of sight, in fact it's where the wipers park; so I shall leave it until I feel like affording the £75 excess :roll: :roll:
