My Troll is my first 4x4 and ultimately my aim is to own a Range Rover.
Having said that, i have read much about how unreliable Range Rovers are as such would consider buying a newer Troll before a Range rover.
However to wear a Nissan logo on your lapel just does not seem to have the same prestige.
Then again my 4x4 does not go off road, and is a big shiny show piece.

As a statement of being an A hole, get a big RR, you will not need a lappel badge!!
If you have a Patrol you will not wear anything that has a lappel, n if you did the space for a badge will be covered in mud!!!

So your aim is to own a Range Rover purely as a status symbol?
I never did understand that kind of thing. :nenau

Don't get me wrong, I don't really care what you own as it's none of my business. Although they do look quite pretty and gangsterish I have never thought "wow, look at him he has got a Range Rover". I have on many occasions thought "wow, fancy spending all that money on such an unreliable car that loses 10 times more than mine actually cost me just by driving it out of the showroom, and by time it's as old as mine it will have been scrapped" :D

Very true.
I'm not one for playing "mines better than yours", mostly because the knackered stuff I drive around in is shite anyway. :D

I have got a rediculously small car with a Range Rover engine in it. It scares me to death and I love it.

the rev limiter kicks in at 94 in third gear:augie

Its all about dosh, wear Range Rover badge = you have £10k plus per year to run one, (on top of regular running costs) I know I had one and soon got shot, specially after I got it bogged down in my yard, and I also have to say that after well over a million miles driving, it is the only vehicle that I have ever had that had to be transported back to base, and it was the most expensive car I ever owned, no thanks if you gave me one now I would sell it straight away, Rick

No not as a status symbol, merely because i like them.
I buy a car because i like it not for what other people think.
But as i said having read reports on how unreliable Range Rovers are i would be more likely to purchase a newer Patrol
