Hi folks, we got ourselves a 2 berth second hand caravan about a year ago
and wanted to get a bigger van, being involved in the motor trade sales :(
I have looked at affordable 4x4's Hyundai Santa Fe etc,
I went on a Motor trade track day where one of the off road vehicles was
an old Maverick (but still road legal) we pushed this old lady quite hard and she never missed a beat despite having 200,000 miles on the clock.
Also as I drove the old Maverick around the off road track I checked it's water temp gauge, it did not move from around the middle in spite of harsh treatment. I was told by one of the instructors that the Maverick had burst
a radiator and the engine seized, it was allowed to cool down a new radiator
fitted and it is running perfectly.
also due to the fact they have a chain drive rather than a cambelt
I have bought a 53 plate swb Terrano (I wanted a lwb) 2.7 tdi se
The car is around 7 years old I have just driven it 300 miles + to Scotland
and it did not miss a beat:)
This is why I prefer an older Nissan I think they built them better then!
