ah another tv era ends, like the bill other day.

now on HB, the 60s must have lasted 20 years
by my reckoning, mind it does i imagine take
many back to a better simpler time.

for one who arrived in late 68, just at the era
was drawing to a close its been fun to see how
they used to live.

think best thing tho is the scenery those north
yorkshire moors are somewhere i would love to
live in.

i was growing up in that era and the research they did was very lifelike

it is a sad day when a decent programe gets shelved to make way for all this reality tv

I second that, i for one wont miss it.
Besides the crime rate in Aidensfield was horrendous for a small Yorkshire village.

Bill Maynard, one of the best actors on the show. Hope the bloke is OK in his retirement. Not heard owt about him for a long time.

A friend of mine used to be one of the extra's in Heartbeat (and others), poor guy died but it's nice to see him occasionaly on the repeats. The same bloke was in the original Railway Children and Rita Sue and Bob Too (cracking film).
