My eldest is nearly 17 and I am 41 so I could well be a grandad by the age of 47 so I rekon it's a good age to be one .

Just hope my parents are around to become great grandparents(Now that would be an eye opener)

hey Dave, thats not young, theres places where you could be gramps
at 30 or so and at 47 great gramps.

look at other way, i'm nearly 42 and my baby is 3, but should be 15 by
now if come along when we started trying. secretly hoping she doesnt
wait as long as us, to help make up for lost time, then atelast we can
be grandparents in early 60s....

btw didnt realise your age, hope i dont offend you as you come across
as older well mature but agree with 25 inside, or as Bryan Adams song
18 til I die!

I'm 49 and I've got three GKids from 5-9. It's very cool to be able to keep up with them! I'm taking them all on a beach run tomorrow while their mum buys tupperware- excellent. I'm at the beginning of infecting them with the offroad and camping bug, so the future looks good!:thumbs

no dont worry , its not a challenge but it takes a lot to really piss me off :thumb2

Dans 5 now and a great little bloke. When he was first starting to talk I was happy for him to call me Dave. Took a phone call one day and all I could hear was Chris , his dad, in the background saying go on then say hello , next thing I got the "Hello Grandad"

All you could hear their end was cheers and laughter :doh:D

Beaten on that one :bow

just started taking my 3yr old to half day nursery along with my 6 month old daughter as i have taken on the role of house husband since beeing made redundant last year whilst my partner has gone back to work on nights i am 45 and did i feel old on the first day it seems like its kids having kids but as said i only feel 30 in my head loving spending time with the kids as when my two teenage daughters to my ex were groing up i worked away all the time so missed alot of there growing up
as the saying goes you are as old as you feel:nenau
cheers Andy

its funny init, everyone thought daved was older than he is.
i recon its because he's always the one who we all rely on for clear factual answers. (a lot like paulllllyyyyyyy)

Well I'll put this in place and risk offending someone not taking part in this
thread, yet. Mav recently celebrated his 50th, I believe he is a gandad too.

Now this aint about looks, but Mick is such a gent, his warmth, and maturity,
generosity comes across as someone frankly older. To think when I first met
him he was basically my age now.

Frankly most folks hit true adulthood from about 25 I reckon, then we gain
more rinkles, loss more hair but dont change in our hearts.

Oh and learn to shave with out a mirror so don't have to see that old git
laughing back at you!
