We've just brought our Patrol back after 3 years in Aus. We concluded our time there by taking a 4 month trip across country - great tracks and great fun.

Seem to be getting away from the Pathfinder theme to an Australia theme but in reply to Dadba......loads of photo's - of the scenery rather than the Patrol. The Avatar picture shows it on The Birdsville Track as it passes through the Sturt Stony Desert.

The Patrol itself is only recently off the boat and is still in London awaiting Special Vehicle Approval testing....the only thing that really needs doing is to recalibrate the speedo from kph to mph but there's a 3/4 week wait to put it through the SVA procedure. Given UK legislation on the issue there's a bit of concern about the bull bar which is a Nissan after market option but as its almost identical to the ARB bar used on the Long Way Down Patrols I'm hoping that there wont be a problem.

The rest of the kit on the vehicle is pretty standard for long range trips. At the moment it has no rear seats ie no second row, as they were taken out so we could fit a storage shelf on which we fitted two 40 litre water containers and 40 litre fridge.
