Not long back I bought a Terrano off Ebay without seeing the thing. It's OK, but surprise surprise it is rustier than he said it was. He did say the wings were rotten, so can't complain about that.

I have had a pair of wings knocking about for ages and last night I actually got round to painting them. So today my plan was to fit them after work.
But when I took the bumper off, this is what I found.

Now, as luck would have it I happen to have one of these at the other side of the yard.

So, in my customary way I set about my truck with grinders and things.
Resulting it this exploratory incision.
Just to make it interesting I decided I couldn't be arsed to remove the rad. One nick and it is knackered, I like to work under some pressure.

Chopped a very similar looking piece out of the spare truck (which is remarkably rust free) and stuck it on my other truck.

How's that for an invisible repair!

Not bad for an afternoons work, but the wings didn't get fitted. I did rebuild the bumper using the rust free bits off my spare.

Because the ""goodun" has no engine or gearbox.
The "bad un" is on the road.
