well i joined about 10 weeks after mav opened club with shark1e
with one of shortest names, rbrt, suspect now one of the longest!
good to see some old names there, and fact that have visited
recently even if not still regularly posting, goes to show never really
know if big bro is watching!
few names missing but they may have asked to be removed?
(RIP) PLANK

well so far RBRT is in the lead and unless we actualy have a posting for anyone who joined sooner i think it is fair to say he is the winner!

How do I say this without sounding old:lol I'm an old timer too:doh
20/9/2004 it says in my profile. However that is when Mick and Rob changed forum. They had an earlier forum for a few months first and I was on there too. So was 20th Sept the date they changed it over and transfered members. Think Toolbox was before me but is Mav is still a member then he'll be the longest:augie.
Jim
PS hey RBRT remember some of the old user names? Drive Washer, Ernie, Cad Monkey and Robobone

Yep Mick was the day before me so that must of been when they setup the later forum. Interesting to note that Shark1e is no longer listed, I guess he must of asked to be removed when he left.

cant see Muzz either unless i havent gone far enough forward thru list.
think some went off to create own forums which was taken as mutiny
by others?

Not been on here for decades :lol but "Adz" HELLO :augie I win the shortset username :D

Jim is still winning!
I remember a lot of those old names, I htink we lost a few when the 4x4 road tax scare was at it's peak and we had a lot of panic selling.
To win this i still think it has to be the longest serving member to actualy post on this thread other wise they might not have been here for years.
Jim beats me by three months am i in the oldest ten?:lol

I think a few inc muzz use Caravanning Amigo's forum but I'm pretty sure I keep seeing Muzz around.
Cadmonkey (Ian) had two commercials T2's, his first he had a Stainless Stell Exhaust made for it and the tailpipe came out under the rear wheel arch to stop soot forming on things he towed. There's photo's of him knocking around on the gallery with his last T2 a dark green.
We can't forget Tubb's too, he was here from the start too.

Muzz was back on here last year i beleive?
I think the last days of the club being a club in it's real sense as opposed to a for profit organisation (no critiscism intended as it works very well and is perhaps the only way to do these things) generated some bad feeling amongst the older members when the comittee was disolved etc and it carried on ito the new regime and we lost members.
I also think the stress of big national rallies takes its toll.
And in the begining----- I was a member of Shark1es "Nissan mistral 4x4 (gray import) owners club" member No 7, membership was FREE yES FREE. the name was changed to include Ford maverick and nissan terrano. the rest is history!!
Bob
.

Best of all the forum started friendly and for the main throughout it's evolution it's remained pretty much the same friendly place.
My membership just means I'm too skint or tight to buy another truck:lol

Erne, that's the same site I was on about too. The duck, wasn't he called Spanish at one time too. If you look at the downloads some are still called "wilf's Workshop's". Wish I could remember my old work mates names as he introduced me to the site, think it was Mal1 or something. Some right blasts from the past in that list Ernie:thumb2
