about 5 month ago i changed the injector return pipes as one was leaking:doh, im using 100% bio diesel at present and today i found a pool of derv under the truck, the rear rubber blanking plug had turned to a jelly like substance and was leaking badly:eek:, so if your using bio make sure you have a spare blanking plug in your glove box, it only seems to affect the rubber blanking plug, my pipes are still ok. :thumb2

Hopefully the internal seals and fuel pump gaskets are made of a different type of "rubber"

where do you get your Bio Terry? Its a bit unusual for something like that and I'm wondering is its 100% stuff that somebody has made and overdone the chemicals a bit?

i think there called east anglia fuels, near chelmsford, adz has used them, and they are always busy, but im sure someone on here mentioned that it rots certain rubber, but this plug goes all gooey and slimey, :augie

ah ok, if its a natural rubber plug as opposed to synthetic then i think high concentrates of biodiesel (and this sounds like 100%) will act like a solvent on it sometimes.

Safe as houses with SVO though! Thank goodness!

still trying to work out where this plug is though...

PS been looking at a few links and it seems the key issue here is the quality of the BD....good stuff shouldn't have this effect and its usually the poorer grade stuff that has chemical 'issues'.....

the rubber cap is on no4 injector, look from drivers side, down to the head and you will see the injector, basicly either side of fuel supply pipe you will see the rubber return pipe and the rubber cap. :thumbs
