fishing near Huddersfield

I notice a few of you are from Huddersfield, can anyone point me in the direction of some fishing lakes etc up that way. I have a good friend who lives in Kirklees and want to introduce him to fishing :D

I know he said its impossible to get on the rivers up their because of the angling clubs :(
