Couldn't believe my eyes this morning! I got in the car and indicated to pull out. The indicator relay was clicking away rather fast like when your bulb has gone. I got out the car to see whether it was the front or back left. I just coudn't believe my eyes! Someone had nicked my bumper indicator unit and just left me with the wires hanging!!

It's great that Nissan made it easy to change but they also made it easy to steal with its very accesable screws . Can anyone think of an easy mod to do to make them thief proof.

Finally; has anyone got one or a pair for sale?

Easy mod but won't make it impossible to steal - rplace screws with tamperproof torx or hex.

You could engrave your vehicle reg on them, but you would have to highlight it so it is clear BUT it could look a mess.
Tamper proof screws are ok BUT most people can get hold of the tools so you could try different ones on opposite corners, or even 4 different ones..
Make it look as though yours are cracked, and nobody would want them..
A sneaky way...mark them with a UV pen then go round a car park with a UV light... But mark them on the inside as well, or the Police would think you just marked them. Just a few thoughts... Regards, Rustic

You have a job to stop things getting nicked these days; locks etc only stop honest people. A few years back I had a chap who lived down the road from the garage where I worked at the time come in saying he couldn’t start his escort van, it had been parked on the street all night. Went down the street to have a look, lifted the bonnet and found the starter motor had been nicked.
