I ****ed up and had water about 1/2 way up the doors last year , it didnt leak , engine didnt go bang
as the air intake is in the wheel well I think you are ok for a few seconds unless you run out of air.
well TBH I've had water washing over the bonnet in the floods of July 2007 (was it?) and similarly had no issue, I think a lot of the time things look worse than they really are......
would this do you clivvy ?

i think she means ( roughly translated ) that she is very happy that the car is almost ready as i was becoming slightly irritable to her :lol

he'd better not do, cos he'd have a convoy of 4x4 owners coming after him!
today is a bad day , because its sheilas busiest day at work , so even if the car is ready today , i cant go and get it untill teatime at the earliest .

Great news, pleased Briggie is on the road.:clap:clap
..... did we still have enough money for the final bill then??
Due to the fantastic generosity of the members here we raised £930 to get Briggie (Pete) back on the road.
The replacement gearbox was £265
The courier cost to deliver the box to Bridgefield 4x4 was £57.46
The fitting of the box and auxiliary ATF cooler that had to be purchased plus giving Pete's truck the once over and draining/refilling fluids etc was £458.15.
That leaves £149.39 in the 'pot'.... watch this space ;)

you're not wrong there Brian. Sure, there's plenty of clubs that will go a long way to help someone out (i'm a member of such a club, MX6oc) but I have NEVER heard of a club going to these lengths, i'm gobsmacked, maybe more than Pete himself (but i doubt it lol) and it helps make it a very exciting place to be, everyone getting along and being jolly good blokes.
lovely.
