Yeah new season under way :D

Contenders this year i think... in no order...

Button
Hamilton
Vettal
Alonso

Outsiders...

Massa
Rosberg
Scumacher

I'd like to see a UK 1 & 2
Button to retain with Lewis 2nd

Honestly say one of the most boring circuits ever built, cannot take anything from this race apart from a test session. just glad it wasnt a 4 am start.

in general F1 been boring for a while (last couple of years the exception). can;t underatand why fia can't see that to get more overtaking give them mechanical grip and take the aerodynamic grip off them, that way more like motoGP:augie where lead changes corner to corner:D - with no pit-stops!! add in the pit-stops and there you have it - an interesting race series. and those who can drive win not those with best car. Button prime example been in no-mans land with Honda for years, goes to Brawn - got best car - wins:clap
plus side is that because normal cars rely on mechanical grip not aerodynamic there should be more for us:clap

Rant over, can't wait for Spa, but its in august less chance of rain - best circuit:bow new cirucuits boring

Forget F1 - watch WRC, even Kimi Räikkönen has seen the light and moved across - Ken Block too for selected rounds. WRC - where the real talent is.

If you like that little event in Wales you should come north for the other RAC rally - like THIS (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTXtebGyI10&feature=channel)

i used to love speedway , i even used to race before my illness , , had a go at road racing too , on a padget yam 250 at olivers mount back in the 70s , but by far the best fun was dirt track racing in a home made buggy based on a beetle , similar to a dune buggy .... those were the days .

Pah, that's school run stuff :lol
Love it, the last time we went offroading in Walters Arena we er bumped into a classic rally. Clocked 60 odd cars through the marshall post we crashed into:lol
That reminds me I must get on with the cortina:rolleyes:

there's no overtaking in rallying. good to watch and listen to tho.:clap:clap
that's the prob with F1 it looks so effortless can't see the work and talent the drivers have:(, and the noise the cars make bears no relation to what real people hear from their performance engines. Rally tho you can see the drama and relate to real cars and driving.:naughty
the only thing that would get me watching F1 again would be if there was some racing not just following each other around and it basically being a contest between pit crews.:(

i was into touring car racing in the 70's, proper cars and none of the poxy electronics of today, nothing like hearing the twin cams, v8's etc screaming round paddock bend. castrol "R" oh those were the days, that reminds me must put some R in me turbo's tank, :lol:doh
