Hi all,

We have just returned from touring Scotland, starting from Whitby then moving up to Bamburgh and onto Edinburgh then driving up to Aberdeen an on to Inverness then all the way up to John o'groats and Dunnet head across to Durness and then down to Kinlochewe and further down to Loch carron then over the Pass of the cattle to Applecross that part of the journey was without the caravan attached, next part of the journey was down to Fort william and then to Stirling and then back to Carlisle and home, we did 2000 miles altogether mostly pulling the Bailey Vendee at 7mtrs long and weighing 1600 kilos, the terrano towed brilliantly and only used 1st gear twice up some very steep hills, the roads varied from 6 lane Motorway down to single track with passing places which the van just about fitted into but the terrano had to go on the grass verges where it said "Road liable to Subsidance", didn't give you to much confidence, but it all went very good and we used about £500 of diesel, and another £500 on food and Caravan sites, mainly cl's and CC's.

The roads were a bit challenging at times but the scenery was amazing along with locals who were very helpful.
