Hiya, I thought I'd say hello to all of you and hope I will be able to gain some help with my Navara. I bought mine 5 years ago and the only thing I added was the Snugtop as I have two dogs!
:thumb2 I have been a very happy owner up until today when it failed it's first MOT(rear brake(s) seizure) and now I can't find anyone who will help me:doh. I guess this is not the place to discuss this though so I will attempt this somewhere else on this forum .

I have felt that up until now, I have had no reason to join as I originally thought that you could only really join if you had problems. HOW WRONG AM I :bow

Thanks for taking time to read this as I know we all have busy lives.

Sara

Hi Sara

When you say 'no-one to talk to you' surely you don't mean the garage?

It depends whats seized....I think they are drums on the rear, so unless you only use it once a year and the brake shoes have rusted in place, it would be the wheel cylinders which should be an easy job for any garage (doesn't need to be Nissan, get someone to recommend a local garage).

Can you explain a bit more what you mean? Are they stuck on or do they not work at all when you brake?

and welcome...its mad here but very friendly and not just about vehicles all the time! :):augie

Hi Sara
the brakes on d22 navara are known to be prone to binding, mine get looked at at the service and the mechanic frees them up re- greases them etc and they last till the next service. Ive just taken off my front prop shaft these wear out(the uj's) due to turning when in motion ,a new one from milner off road being fitted this week along with the lsd oil being changed. its done 106,000 miles so could do with it.Have you visited nissan- navara.net? you'll find advice there about the d22 and its tendency to self distruct.:doh
