LMAO, I lived down there (Locking nr Weston Super Mud) 1982 to 1984, loved it.
Several of us (me in my vauxhall cavalier) used to rip up and down the beach on a night time, stalked by the local bobby on his push bike...........happy days :lol

One of those beaches down there was notorious because it was nice firm sand and everyone parked on it but there were always people being caught out by the spring tides which came in high and fast - seen a couple sunk there myself!

Was it Uphill beach that was used as a car park? the name seems to ring a bell.
We never got stuck but I did manage to crease the wing on my car hitting a sand dune at the top of the beach :doh
