too much oil
some have trouble with cirtain oil filters too what filter did you fit ?
it was just a cheapy oil filter from local factors and the dipstick is reading min as only put 5l in and by reading the book it seems they hold 7.2l i would have thought a loss of power was fuel related tho not oil??

ha ha even my mrs dont get the keys to it its just my weekend toy when i can afford to put the petrol in if you thought the truck was thirsty then you dont want to think about the fuel bill in my skyline lol

i knew there would be a catch somewhere
no offence but im realy doubtfull about paiying to join an oline forum as i help run a local modified forum that is free of charge and i just dont see where all the money goes when forums charge for membership and have seen too many forums closing down recently.
thats not to say i wont join up as i bought the truck as an everyday go anywhere motor that i would like to have a play in some mud with :thumbs

only trouble is the download for the mini filter is in the download section... freebies dont get access to it. so some one will have to type it here every time someone asks
its not just an online forum its a club. you get meets here rallies and loads of good banter. so its not just online if you do join up
ill see if i can find a pic of where the mini filter is

common on the older trucks. often pulled out years ago.
that rules the mini filter out then

Dan just to set your mind at rest, I've been in and out of this site since 2005, and some even longer - its going nowhere I promise. Membership goes on hosting and bandwidth mostly you'll find. Never a problem here.
And if you don't save a tenner in your first year from info you get on here I'll send you one myself.....seriously! :thumbs
i agree Lacroupade. I am new here also, and a member of a MX-6 forum too who also charge and this has paid for itself many many times over and is the reason for me affording to keep and run my v6 MAZDA MX6. I feel this forum club will pay for itself in time as I get to know my Mav, already had soem great suggestions and help for minor niggles...well worth a tenner to keep the site going-remember-stuff dunt pay for itself. These sites costs money to run especially bandwidth costs, which any new member is adding to!
good luck with the power issue, have you checked your Turbo? At what point are you losing power?
cheers for the help guys seems to be ok now think it was a major air lock in the fuel system doh!!
