Purpleline seem to produce some really useful bits and pieces.
But is this a great new take on an old idea or is it a complete load of ******** ?

i htink this is why i love towing caravans with a transit van! close match in height and floor height etc. and a squared of back to reduce the air swirl
now here's a though could i ad one on top of the high to tranist to make t even better :lol
your right daved i remember my dad having one of these in the 70's, he said it was useless then!
Modern version of 1960,s idea

I have often thought that large 4x4's are not as stable as towing vhicles as they might be (herresy I know, so i may get excommunicated ;) )
anyway my feelings on this are that the air flow under the towing vehicle, that has a much higher ground clearance than the caravan, ads to instability.
note the test in the video does not take any account of the affects of air rushing under the vehicle or down either side and so only realy shows 25% of the picture!
and what about cross winds?
Im sure you will all tell me if i am wrong, but beware i will argue the toss for days :thumbs :lol

The one in my garage looks identical to that, I tried it on a Seat Alhambra towing a Bailey Pageant and it worked well. On a T2 towing a Bailey Senator it was a disaster, it sucked all the road muck up the front of the caravan and made the caravan unstable, it was so bad I took it off to come home.
cant do that WAGPAP front wheels will lift off
one on the bonnet too then :lol look like an F1 car :naughty

thought these died in 80s when sloping front vans came out.
tbh plank, having had this conversation with you before the
average 4x isnt going to have that much more ground clearance
than a tranny.
perhaps best bet is to slow down, after all your on hol whats the
rush. that said even with the twin axle both t2 and patrol want
to do 60 thanks to their gearing, sometimes more if not watching
speedo closely....
