View Full Version : Sky New Reporters & the Recession
Do you think that sky news reporters and reporters in general have contributed to the current mess the country has found its self in:eek:
Well I'll kick it off.
Remember when the banking crisis 1st started and Sky News inparticular started ramming down or throats the the counrty would end up in crisis?
I feel that once people start believing everything that these muppets keep ramming down our throats thats when the s**t hits the fan.
People start getting worried and put off buying houses, cars and new furniture etc, them the country grinds to a halt (recession)
Imagine the banking crisis kicked off and the government bailed them out, no reporters scare mongering and people go about daily life as normal, money keeps being spent and no recession.
Don't you love it when the so called reporters are interviewing someone and there putting words into thier mouths. They've got to fill the allocated time slot and they start winging the interview. People watching, this crap there selves, put off next big purchase and then the ball starts rolling.
I think if this crisis never got rammed down our throats all day it wouldn't be nearly as bad as its going to be.
The governments were never going to let the banks collapse, they could have acted faster and made the banks lend money.
Maybe a simplistic view point, but once people start being programmed by reporters we'll be F****d and the rest is history.
What do you think??????

Wholly agree - the media is pathetic and has been the root of a lot of unrest and very real issues, like house prices, banking etc.. Their 'we hate 4x4s' is justr one small example of their ill-thought out logic....

I completely agree, do you think that this was accelerated along to make better news?? "drama out of a crisis" and all that?? In some cases i think that it shows who is exatcly running this country, "The Media"
Have you seen that ethnic bird on Skye News in the morning, is she fit or what.... I wasn't really listening to what she was saying :sly

Totally agree but I would go further to include the whole of the media but then again that's what sells papers and advertising space.
I'm getting up tomorrow morning to watch Sky News just to have a look at this girlie!!! and who cares what news she is reading:thumbs

I don't have tv and rarely listen to the radio ...... don't buy a newspaper except at weekend in a deliberate attempt to 'avoid' the news ..... so 'sorry can't say anything directly relative to the title' but even on the 'net you are almost bombarded by the news and even then I start to wonder at the 'politics' or 'motive' in the way matters are reported ..... for my money 'the recession started when el gordo sold off the uk's gold reserves and left us with an 'unsupported' currency ....

persononally try to avoid wathcing any news at all after all its only want
they want you to know and rarely affects your personal life.
I dont buy newspapers, rarely even read others due to their political stance.
about best paper is 'metro' free on public transport and almost neutral.
the beeb , itv and sky news is spoon fed to its audience, ch.4 and 5 are
slightly better.
prefer if possible to just tune in to our local tv news: calendar or look north
as local news for local people. for international events best going via sky
to get likes of CNN, where if any polictical biase is lost on me.....
