looking for a simple, light awning, not full size but large porch
will do. the above seems different in that material travels with
van then a single alloy pole, funky tent style is threaded thru.
wonder if anyone has seen one in flesh/ripstop nylon. good
price, seems to have been out 2 years but maybe discontinued
naturally no obvious reason why. this dealer doing em at 139
plus 10 del. googled it and brings back similar ones like sunncamps
scenic plus. looks roomy 4.5m x 2.4m, needs 3.7m of awning rail.
reckon on our abbey would cover back bedroom window, door! and
kitchen which prefer not to cover front lounge anyway.
decisions decisions.
Hi, Ive got a similar type of awning, sunncamp ultima, its fantastic light, easy to erect, f/g poles, very portable. This fits on my fleetwood countryside,Only issue is 'flappy sides' which reverberate on the caravan when the wind blows, rectified by putting pipe lagging around awning side flap! hope this helps, a great asset for me.

cheers father in law has a panama type from towsure, main glitch with his it that
van isnt really tall enough so when pegs sides next to van isnt square but fine
for a long weekend. just want somewhere for pram, couple of chairs and table,
being located on awning rail in transit is a bonus time saver on site i guess.

Hi,
I purchased one last year, it's called a "SpaceLite". They are great for the summer months as they are only rated at 2000. takes only a few minutes to put up and is great for a weekend trip away. The main of it stays in it's own bag attached to the awning rail of the van with the doors and main pole in a small bag. Not recommended for rough weather as it's not that stable in moderate wind. for £139 it's a bargain, if your looking for a quick "weekender" away, i would recommend it.
Hope that helps

Hi TomT2
I've just bought one of these - ebay no. 160314943440 - but haven't tried it yet.
It looks similar to what you're researching but more of a 'traditional design'. It is erected in just a few minutes ('allegedly') as the main fabric body remains attached to the 'van. Might be of interest to you.
Regards CL

ebay 250364694620 watch video on how to put up in 2 minutes :thumb2

Cheers for that Andy, what is the '2000' term exactly, potentially got my old full framed
sunncamp awning size 4/12 ft which could use in heavier weather. do you find any issues
with 'bag' on awning rail in transit, supposed to be light but another pal has warned me
off travel awnings as subtle vibrations will loosen rail and lead to damp.

Hi Richard,
The 2000 rating is waterproof rating, the higher the number, the better the waterproofness. 2000 is about a medium weather weight rating. I didn't find it to be a problem travelling with it, the two things i would suggest are some rail locks (to stop slipping round the rail when travelling) and make sure that if it rains while stored that water is emptied out as the "bag" tends to fill with water. If you have trouble finding rail locks let me know, i had some made in our engineering shop at work, i'll send you some.
