Just back from a day in Kielder forest,Along the forest road. The track is all gravel, halfway along, there was a sort of sandy quarry with a steep rocky slope down into it,it had obviously been used for offroading as there was plenty of tracks in it.Didn't go into the big pools as was afraid of getting stuck and with no phone signal and being in the middle of nowhere on my own(nobody to pull me out...lol)(and only road tyres!!)but got very muddy.I was very impressed with my T2's handling.
All this for £2 toll, well worth it.
And had a lovely lunch at Leapside next to Kielder resevior!!

They've increased the price     They resurfaced it earlier this years with flint chippings & I heard of loads of people getting flats because of the flint.
A year ago after getting the T2 we were up there & took a wrong turn & ended up on the logging tracks  but it was great fun in all the mud & only in 2wd with road tyres on (I forgot about 4wd   )Did'nt get much slip & slid 8)

I think they let you go on some of the private tracks through the forrest which are off bounds the rest of the time. I think the xmas time one would be fun if we got some snow this year
