Hi CAT..

nice of you to join us pay up and theres loads not info to be had.. not all Xtrail. though..

When you looking take a good look and the back sub frame bushes, as can only be replaced with NEW frame... also X's have been known to EAT turbos and inter coolers. no idea why though, just need to ask when your looking, if you can get a grantee male sure it COVERS TURBOS AND INTER COOLERS,and get a longer guarantee as you possible can

Welcome Cat1969 - go for a Navara:thumb2

As you noticed Zipp will keep you company, and after a while you can make sense of his posts spelling mistakes and all.;)

And you know what they say, big wheels = expensive tyres

you will always hear good and bad things about all vehicles and to honest it is usually down to negelect from past owners alot of it. you do get manufacturing defects and always will, but as long as you are aware of the faults, you will always be able to aviod them.
at least to a certain amount of degree, there is no certainty with cars. everyone drivers different, not everyone maintains cars, so alot of it is down to common sense and not rushing in to a purchase if at all possible.

Re :- Navara D22 Engines . These are now covered by an extended warranty to 92,000 miles but must have the correct service records by Nissan. The trucks are great fun both on and off road but are trucks with "boat" like handling and a tendancy to break away when cornering.:D The X-Trails are more "car" like in their road manners, but if you need to carry a ton of kit(i do) and tow up to three tons then the navara is ideal.
