Hi mate and welcome
Give us a bit more background, did you get any weird performance related issues before it cut out or did the engine MIL light appear?
It would be worth reading your MIL codes to see what has been stored, if yours is a 3.0, there will be a 16 PIN OBD socket underneath the fusebox cover on the drivers side.
If you get an uninsulated paperclip or a piece of wire, bridge the bottom left pin with the bottom right pin and the MIL light will start to flash and will cycle through all of the stored codes.
A long flash is worth "10" units and a short flash is worth "1" unit. Last night for example, I went to see a 3.0 with the engine light on and read 7 long flashes and 5 short ones, = code 75, after a bit of googling from my friends due to intermittent poor signal, we found that code to be related to the injector pump
Use the table in this download for reference;

Hey guys thanks for getting back to me.
No weird performance related issues just a cough then it stopped. When i checked i couldnt get fuel to the injectors
So far i have:
Replaced the fuel filter
Pulled in a new fuel line from the tank into the bulk head. (tonight im replacing it with clear polyurethane so i can double check for air)
Bled all of the air out of the system (i think)
Replaced the fuel pump with a second hand (refurbished unit - ouch)
Checked to make sure there is no mesh filter present.
Now i can get fuel to the injectors but not at what i would expect to be high pressure.
I still can't get the engine to start and its not flagging any fault codes on the ecu.
i am planning on running a fuel line in from a jerry can on the roof of the truck to ensure its not fuel starvation in the replacement pump.
I am confident that the timing is correct as we marked everything up with white paint pen.
The pump flange and locating pin is at 1 oclock and i put a 6mm dowel through when aligning the gear. Physically checked that no 1 cylinder was at TDC through the glow plug hole.
Any advice welcome as i have currently got a non runner after selling my running vehicle for this and i am raging about it now.
The whole thing has my head battered as i feel I'm chasing my tail.
The car is a 2003 model with 76k miles and only 2 previous owners. Service history is good and there were no problems when i test drove the car, or the 150 miles i had done prior to the car stalling on me.
I think the check engine light came on when the car stalled but cant say for definite if it did come on prior to it stalling or after.
Thanks
Dan

Ah sorry, I was hoping it was south as I am traveling back from Cornwall today and you might have been near my route, My Mrs has a 3 so once I am back home on Saturday I will have a look over it to see if I can come up with anything, Rick
Is this truck a Silver LWB by any chance :duno:
It is yes banshee.
Is that you in talking to on Facebook?

Nope, but I think I've been to see this vehicle and walked away from it because of an injector pump fault

Whereabouts was it?
I drove this one and I was happy with it. Like I say I did 200miles before an issue.

Cannot get to the pump on Mrs motor without removing intercooler etc and she said no as needs it for early morning start tomorrow.
So one question with the car locked up the NATs light flashes so when the key is inserted and ignition turned on does the light go out? Rick

Hi Solarman, yes already ruled out a Nat’s issue lights go out as they should.
Currently have fuel to the pump but nothing pumping through the return. I have sent the original pump away for repair and have a refurbished pump incoming hopefully tomorrow.
Getting no high pressure fuel out of the pump at the injectors. Fuel is getting there but not at pressure. Timing is correct after replacing the pump already as had everything back off to check.
Starts with easy start but won’t idle. Hot wired pins 6 and 7 on the pump and still getting no high pressure fuel. Cranks ok and compression is good.
I’m not 100% sure I’ve got the all of the air out of the pump has when cranking nothing is flowing through the return. (Clear lines installed and currently into a Jerry can so I can check)

If you are getting nothing out of the return then the inlet banjo needs to come off and be checked for debris, this is not the same pump as on a 2.7 but it will have a pressure regulator which may have jammed, I know the 2.7 pump inside out but have yet to deal with the 3, I will try and find some info on your pump, Rick
